 This isn't actually a bug.  What's happening is that you don't have
the "check 5.25 drives on finder startup" option enabled in the
preferences menu.  Since the GS never checks, it doesn't know whether
you have any 5.25 drives or not and by default presents two 5.25
icons.  Even if you have zero 5.25 drives, the icons will appear.  So,
if you wan't to get rid of that extra icon, enable the option
mentioned above.  This way the GS check for 5.25 drives on startup
and know just how many you have.  The drawback is that it takes some
extra time for it to do this.  So, it's your choice.  BTW, the reason
the icons appear when the mentioned option is not selected is because
you would have no other way to have access to the drives if you did
indeed have one or two present.
