RAM-Fast happy and sad
I got a RAM-Fast 256k board (revD) from LRO to go with my funny 220meg
HP mechanism in my Pegasus. Works well, but I can't tell if it's faster
than the Apple HighSpeed SCSI in GS/OS, but it is MUCH faster when I ran
AppleWorks v3.0.
Anyway, when doing the reboot thing, before the "Welcome to GSOS" screen
comes up, sometimes I get a "RAMFAST SYNC ERROR" and either "00" or "A0"
after the error message. Sometimes when I reboot, cold or warm, the thing
just crashes into the monitor. If I turn off the machine fora few minutes
and then on I get no problems. Now that I think about it on occasion the
boot thermometer bar will freeze, then I ctrl-reset and it boots OK.
What's up? I am running System 6.0.1, but that should not make a difference
when I am doing a reboot.
ROM01, 4meg SeqSys RAM, TWGS, RAMFast D 256k, PCT, hope.
