I'd have to think its a LOT faster. For a while, I had two gs's. One running
the bbs (with a maxxed out rev d) and the other running a normal rev d
ramfast. The bbs setup was much quicker, even when running the same programs
with the same cdevs/inits/ds's loaded up. I'd almost guarantee that its
faster than your apple scsi card.

check your connections, and check your termination. I know termination
on a scsi chain can be a real pain. Hell, it may work for a while, but
all of a sudden "boom" it doesn't work, becuase it was setup wrong. The
things are very picky :(
