Appleshare volumes need not appear in slot/drives (but can) so P8 can support
more than 14 volumes on line at once. If a driver was written to intercept calls
to $BF00 just like Appleshare we could have as many volumes as we want. This
would be difficult (and where in memory would you put it) but it could be done.
