At present, they only work with the Apple SCSI cards (both versions,
with some capabilities not available with the original card).

I believe they were originally written for distribution with Chinook's
own SCSI card, then re-written to support Apple's cards and sold as a
separate product.

I don't know if it would be possible to write as extensive a set of
utilities for the RamFAST - is it possible for applications to make
direct SCSI calls, or is everything "hidden" by the SmartPort firwmare
on the card?


It doesn't provide any "mounting" capability - it does make INIT calls
to the SmartPort firmware, which means the SCSI card knows about newly
appearing drives, and you can access all the devices from within
C.S.U., but they don't appear as ProDOS devices unless you reboot.
