    Jerry, *please* include a subject with every article you post.  Most
news software these days don't even let you post a message without a
subject.

    Where did you get System 6.01 from?  If you downloaded it from an,
ah, "unofficial" source, some files may have been corrupted.  That's why
Apple, Inc. insists on legal distribution channels so they can assert
some quality control.  If you bought the disks from Resource Central,
then you have cause to complain.
