AppleWorks --> txt --> ms-dos machine?

I am posting this message for a friend of mine who doesn't have Usenet
access at this time.  She would be very greatful if she could get some
help with this problem.

She has a bunch of AppleWorks files on her Apple //c that she would like
to transfer to an ms-dos format.  Is there an emulator or something that
will make the ibm type hachines read apple disks?  Or is she going to have
to manually convert the files (one at a time) to txt, then send them
accross a null modem to her IBM.  We are hoping that there is someone out
there with a relitively painless fix to this problem.  Thanks for your
