Re: Looking for a tape drive

Mike:

I picked up mine for about $310. It's a Wangtek 2150. Supports 150mb
tapes, & 250 extended length tapes. The guy I got it from might have
a couple of more, but I can't find his e-mail anymore. It's new.

It does about 5mb/min. max, and I seem to get about 2-3mb ( or more ) on
my GS ( w/twgs ).

I'd recommend RF, but some guys seem to like Apple cards. GStap supports
incremental backup & RamFAST.

A 6250 is between $20-30, not exactly cheap. You might check into
picking up a DAT, which some model is well below $1000 now. DAT media
is less than $20.
