On the PAL motherboards I've seen they all have a little switch to flick
between colour & mono output .. going through your video like that sounds
about right (I used to do the same thing)

The switch is resonably close to the plug too .. dont have one handy to
tell you the location ID thingy ..

We all know its colour anyway :-)


On a related note is there any cheap way of getting PAL output from my GS?
The VOC seems like overkill (even if I had the $$$), and sadly just 
hanging the //c PAL adapter off the back of it isn't likely to work .. 

Ideas?
