The thing with AppleWorks is that it reads the date location in ProDOS. If it
is empty it stops and asks you to enter a date. The trick is to have already
entered a date before starting AppleWorks, and there are a number of little
utilities around which will let you do this. I used to have one installed when
I used my IIc all the time. I'll see if I can dig it up. If so, I'll send it to
you.
