Is there any ProDOS-based software for Covox Voicemaster?
G'day.
Many years ago I bought a Covox Voicemaster for my //c. The software
it came with worked fine, but it was DOS3.3 based, and didn't survive the
move to a ProDOS disc (due to memory usage conflicts in Aux memory, if I
recall correctly).
When I bought the Voicemaster, I filled in the warranty card, sent it
off to the Australian agent (as instructed) and waited to be notified of soft-
ware upgrades etc, as promised by the warranty documentation.
Needless to say, I never heard any more from them, and subsequent
enquiries revealed that the agent no longer exists.
As it stands, I want to write a voice-activated menu system for a //e;
this would enable file selection etc on a HD without typing, using the mouse
etc. Did Covox ever release PrDOS based software for the //e-//c Voicemaster?
Do Covox still sell the Apple // Voicemaster (the PC version is still available
over here, so I assume Covox is still in business). Does anyone know Covox's
e-mail address?
Thanks.
Steve
