    The point (or one of the points, I should say) of UUCP is running it
as cron job so you poll the UUCP site once an hour or three times a day
or whatever.  It's all automatic.  My typical compressed news packet
(about 400 messages, 20 newsgroups) takes less than 2 minutes to
transfer, once a day.  It should be quite convenient.
