    Larry Virden mentioned a hypertext document format which would be
even better.  It appears to offer both plaintext readability plus the
ability for links and searches if you browse the FAQ using the right
software.  I haven't been able to find the comp.infosystems.www FAQ yet
(not at this news site, nor at the rtfm.mit.edu FTP site), but it
achieves the same goals I had in mind, but in a more evolved fashion.
