Well Seth, the first thing that comes to mind is cross-compatibility. What I
mean is, for a word-processor to be able to read and write different formats,
something like teach.

What's the name of the 'language' that has imbedded print codes left in it?
It slips my mind at the moment, but to have a word processor that at least
writes in this format would give the GS the ability to produce documents that
would be easily portable to the Mac and MeSsy-Dos platforms, and perhaps
others. I've always thought that this would be the best feature to
incorporate in any word processor, even before I knew of the above _un_-named
standard. (Somebody please post the name of this before I go nuts trying to
remember!)

I'm really glad to hear you're getting more and more interested in really
doing this project... I too think it's an extremely worthwhile endeavor!

I believe what you are refering to is the RTF format.
