Vulcan HD and Parallel Pro
Ok...I think I narrowed my printing problem down. First, my printing
problem is that page lengths were messed up no matter when I specified
as a page length (this is under GSOS apps). I did a self test on my
Parallel Pro (another great AE product) and got a bad ROM checksum. Well,
I did a little more testing today and tracked it down to my Vulcan
controller card (yet ANOTHER AE product). It seems with my Vulcan installed
I get the bad ROM message on my PP (Parallel Pro). Without the Vulcan card
installed, it says my PP is just spiffy. ROM version on my PP is 1.3 and
on my Vulcan is 1.4. My system is a 4MB IIgs, no accellerators, Parallel Pro,
Sonic Blaster, and a 40MB //e Vulcan and a ROM 01. Hmmm...this just occurred
to me. Maybe the fact that it's a //e Vulcan/Card, that could be wreaking
havoc on my PP - anybody know this for sure? I'm not about to call AE about
this - they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. I called them
once about using a Phasor in a IIgs and they weren't sure. Well, later, I
found my Phasor manual and it says right on the front of it for //e or IIgs.
'Nuf bitching - can anybody help?
