    As for porting C code to the GS........  Don't give up because you
think the C compilers for the IIgs are not very good (my impression on your
post, I could have gotten the wrong impression).  I have recently ported a
massive C program onto the IIgs from the net.  Originally with debug code
it was 1300 blocks and without debug code and a little optimization I got
it down to ~650 blocks.  That to me is pretty impressive.  With this port
as of right now I know of only 2 bugs in the code and it could be because
some of the people that write C think that it is O.K. to send variable
number of arguments to the same function.
