57.6K driver for modem?

My friend in Singapore keeps urging me to find a driver for allowing modem
to run at 57.6Kb. He said that he has seen such a driver, and AppleTalk also
run at the speed.

Does this driver exists? Can I run my 14.4K modem (with v42bis 4:1 compression
ration) at 57.6Kb? Where can I find it?
