If you are using Futurevision, the "event.manager" file goes in your 
1/I directory, which is your include directory. The only way Metal will
compile any code is if the filename ends in ".s".

Obviously, Metal isn't going to want to compile that file. Anyway, why
would you want to? Grab the rest of FV and compile that instead.
