The closest thing to a new version of ECP8 I've seen is my homemade version I
made by rewriting parts of the code after Don Elton released the source code.
You can write shell programs for it - it came with quite a few and I've written
several new ones.

Let's all bug Don to release the ECP16 source code too and someone can get it
up to date.
