Re: MoriaGS 5.3.1 coming...

I guess I should reply to a few of these comments...

1) GNO compatibility

The (partial) curses I created for this port is console based. I was
not and am not paritcularly concerned about it running under GNO as it
(like 4.8) is a pig. I am planning to release it as an S16 app. Once
that happens, maybe I will go back and change it. Alternately, once
I am sure it is stable, I plan to release the source. If I havent
modified it by then, someone else can.

2) C compiler used

I am porting Moria with ORCA/C 1.3. Why 1.3 you shout in dismay?
BECAUSE I HAVENT RECIEVED MY FUCKING COPY OF 2.0 YET AND AM GETTING
REALLY REALLY PISSED OFF ABOUT IT. I sent in my order within one
hour of recieving it. That was one hell of a long time ago.

3) Moria 5.5

Geez... you dont even have 5.3.1 yet and you already want 5.5.
Some people are never happy :)

Due to some bugs in the 1.3 compiler, I had to diverge from the
regular source. I was trying to add GS stuff properly (via
#if and stuff) but it became too cumbersome. So the sources changes
needed get a little weird in places. I dont know, let me finish 5.3.1
   and we'll see...

4) To the folks who have offered to beta

It looks like if I can figure out whats going wrong with the save file,
it may be ready for beta after that. I have been spending a lot of time
doing home improvements instead of program improvements so I cant really
give a date yet. I will contact you via mail hopefully withing 2 weeks.

Yes, I am aware that I have probably made some unpopular choices regarding
Moria. My main concern is to get it running and out. Flame if you must
but dont expect it to change anything.
