Re: Shift-Key-Mod

When I install a shift key mod in a II+, I usually do it with two
pieces of fine wire. One wire is installed on the bottom of the
motherboard, from pin 4 of the game I/O socket to pin 4 of the keyboard
socket. The second wire is installed on the solder side of the keyboard
encoder board. (the small board under the keyboard) This wire runs from
pin 4 of keyboard cable socket to the second pin from the edge of the
board on the connector that leads to the keyboard itself (this is the
shift key signal)

This takes a bit more effort than just shoving a wire into the game
socket, but it has the advantage that it is very difficult to
accidentally remove the wire while doing something else inside the
computer.
