I post this, in place of email, 'cuz someone may have the exact answer.
The "Shift Key Mod" was a wire (*not* cut traces) from the keyboard interface
to the game socket. The wire should carry the "SHIFT" signal from its
keyboard interface pin to "pushbutton 2" (I think).
1. Do you have documentation on the II+? It should include the game socket
pinout. It may include the keyboard interface pinout.
Not given that, do you have an ohm-meter. Check the keyboard interface for
the shift signal, pin by pin. I seem to remember that it was the
third or fifth pin from the right, but I also seem to remember that
there was more than one type of keyboard interface.
And I _think_ it was pushbutton2. Might have been 1 or 0.
You can experiment with the pushbuttons by peek()-ing at them. Try them
with the target software.
2. Anyone know the _exact_ pins? I haven't seen my ][+ for ... gee, when?
