The price of a used GS is nowadays about what you purchased the //e for
plus the upgrade kit of $150. The //e to gs upgrade kit is not getting
you a true GS with ensonique chip and you will just have less than gs
graphics. You can get the GS upgrade kit from several mail order houses
in the US I believe. In my opionion, you probably should have waited
until you had a few more dollars to spend and bought a true GS.
