The first FST on my wish list would be a complete MS-DOS FST that is:
a) readable, writeable, and initable
and b) not limited to disks or disk-sized volumes
This would in theory allow you to pull CF cards from cameras and other
computers and use them on the GS desktop without any intermediaries.

Yup.

Hey, someone else thought of that! I remember thinking when Marinetti
first came out, "Too bad Apple dropped GS support. With Marinetti you
might be able to write an FTP FST, and then you'd really have something."
It would seem to me to be more difficult to implement than the other two,
but I'm not a coder. I'm just an idea man. :-)
There are a couple of others that to me would make life on the GS very
interesting:
1) FAT32
2) EtherShare -- Allow you to mount a drive served on an Ethernet network
like AppleShare allows across an AppleTalk network.
3) Disk Image -- Allow disk images to work like other volumes. This one
would be tough, since you'd need to be able to nest FSTs (i.e. a ProDOS
disk image on an HFS volume). I can't imagine you'd be able to make this
work without re-writing part of the GS/OS kernal. But I could be wrong --
I'm not a coder. :-)
