Re: Waiting for Orca/C

Mike has been giving lame excuses for three months now. I ordered the 2.0
upgrade the first week of January, and have yet to receive it. I am
_angry_ at this point. I've been emailing Mike every couple of weeks,
asking when I might receive the upgrade, and have yet to get a response.
I have no interest in phoning the Byte Works, because I think I've already
sunk enough money into this venture.

On another Byte Works front, I ordered the Programmer's Reference for
System 6 from Quality Computers nearly two months ago. At that time, I
was informed that they had just ordered a batch of copies, since they had
run out. I have yet to receive that book, either. So this tells me that
the Byte Works' business practices are _sorely_ lacking in any form of
ethics whatsoever.

Now that I've said all that, I feel much better. Now I can say that
although I am certainly upset at not receiving these things (rightfully
so, I might add), I also didn't quite mean all the horrible things I said
about the Byte Works. But I do wish they'd get off their butts and ship
the stuff out. I ordered it, not on a whim, but because, in fact, I
_need_ that stuff. I'm a programmer by trade -- I've been holding off on
a number of important projects until this stuff arrives, and time is
money. Every day the Byte Works holds off is a few dollars I won't be
making in the future. Thanks, Mike. Not only does the University of
California want to see me on welfare, but so does the Byte Works. :)

Just letting off steam, Mike. :)
