dying syquest

FYI, I have a problem with my Syquest in that is was spontaneously disengaging
cartridges and then reengaging them. I had tried to ask for help here, but the
posts failed due to a full hard drive.
 
I called TMS tech support. They had heard of the problem. Apparently the
servos (motors?) are wearing out. If the drive isn't spinning fast
enough, it disengages. The drive has not been used much.
It is under warranty (2 year warranty from 1 year ago) and the repair
is free.
