Well, if you have your files on a HFS diskette and try to use GSCII+
to un-binhex them, you will get errors.  There is a bug in the HFS FST
which pops up when a program uses "new-line" mode  (This is probably
the wrong way to describe this but I'm not a GS/OS guru) when reading
from an HFS disk.  GSCII+ uses this mode.  To avoid this bug, use GSCII+
while the files are on a ProDOS volume. THEN, copy them over to the
HFS disk. (This problem also crops up for un-binscii under the same
FST conditions).

If you aren't using GSCII+ under these conditions then your error is
probably something else!! 

I hope this helps.  I'm sure someone will elaborate on the bug I've
mentioned.
