NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just because it sounds like it might be kinda neat DOESN'T mean you
should do it. Apple's set up the @ prefix for a reason. PLEASE USE
IT. There are people who have their GS's networked, and in those
cases, you don't want to do this silly *:System:Preferences thing.
Please follow Apple's guidelines. They're there for a darn good
reason.
