The current System Software Drivers (The ones that get generated at boot
if you don't have custom ones installed) will return either 1 Character
or Multiple Character Input.. All you have to do is set the requestcount
field of your parms to GS/OS for a DReadGS call.

This is toggled by wait and nowait modem in GS/OS... see the GS/OS Reference
for more information on changing it for a device.
