It seem to work with Apple's PC Exchange pretty well -- I haven't seen it
used in conjunction with Access PC or DOS Mounter, though. Choosing "Erase
Disk" from the Special menu in the Finder even lets you choose what file
system to put on the newly erased disk, a feature I had previously thought
was more or less unique to GS/OS.

It depends; if you're in a more or less permanent installation, the neatest
solution is to set up personal file sharing on the Mac and grab the files
via a small AppleTalk network. Barring that, I'd just copy the files
onto Mac HFS disks and hand carry them over to the Apple II. (Oops; I assumed
that you were talking about a IIGS when you said Apple II. If you need
to move files to a different II, particularly one without a 3.5" drive, things
get more complicated).
