On the IIe, the testing is done using the auxiliary slot (and possibly
some of the normal slots as well).  The 'edge connector' on the IIe is
actually a power supply connection (for what, I have no idea - perhaps
it's used to test the voltage output of the power supply in a loaded IIe?)
