Setting the play rate = to the record rate is an option in 2.0 (2.0 computes
the actual record rate once you are done based on bytes recorded vs. time
taken, allowing the use of accelerators to record at speeds up to the
hardware's limit, which for my Sonic Blaster is around 35 kHz). The no-slot
mike has never been reported as a problem (several happily registered users
have the mic). 2.0 may be avalible with Save disabled or something...I'm still
thinking about it.

Hmm, I've posted about 8 SL songs translated from MIDI on AOL recently...I'll
see about uploading them to cco or posting to c.b.a2. The translator itself
is not really intended for the general public (it only does MIDI Type 0 files,
and has no error handling/trapping at all). Translation: it works great for
me, but I don't want to deal with the general public bitching about its
limitations at this time.
