You're right Herbert. Proterm 3.0 works with the Modem and Printer ports
via the Serial Port Registers for the IIgs. As they are specific registers
to the IIgs ($c038-$c03b) they arent switched out with the slots. Thats why
you can use a card in a slot, and proterm for the internal ports.

This is feasable for any of the GS ports that have special SoftSwitches that
are true only to the IIgs versus ones that switch in and out with the $C080+$s0
space that a card gets....
