Educational games that teach about computers
Heyo,
I'm a teacher & a computer scientist, new to the apple IIgs
platform.
I'm looking for 'educational games' of a different breed.
No basic math. No spelling. No geography.
What I want is stuff to teach computing skills & concepts,
for ages 5 to 14. The concepts I'm talking about are
instruction sequencing, how memory - disk & ram - works,
file management, what are operating systems, boolean (or circuit)
logic, and the likes.
If there's anything on Artificial Intelligence, Speech,
Graphical User Interfaces, Data Bases, or any of the more advance
topics of computer science, I want to know about it too.
Languages & such, we have. What I need is games, for extra-curricular
activities. The kids have to fall in love with it, not have
it assigned to them.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Every program has at least one bug and can be shortened by at least
one instruction -- from which, by induction, one can deduce that
every program can be reduced to one instruction which doesn't work.
