NEED HELP WITH APPLE ][c

Hello NETLAND,

My 6 year old son (1st grade) wanted an APPLE ][ for Christmas
and ended up with two APPLES', an Apple ][c and an Apple ][c+.
Somehow messages within the family got cross wired and two of
his favorite aunts bought him a computer. Any way, I am an
APPLE illiterate person and do not know much about APPLES. The
Apple ][c+ came with an 800KB 3.5 floppy disk drive but the
system disk, I think ProDos (Version 3.1 labelled on the diskette)
is corrupt. I tried calling Apple for a new OS who referred me to
a local dealer, of whom could not help me. Calling Apple back,
they referred me to the Boston Computer Society. After a phone call
to them, they referred me to another guy in the society, but I could
not seem to get a hold of him.

Anyway, this desperate father would like to find out where I can
get an OS for the Apple ][c/+ and where I can find educational
software for it. He is currently using Apple LOGO in school, so
any leads would be greatly appreciated. Since I have both an
internal 3.5 and external 5.25 disk on the Apple ][c+, I am
assuming that both ][c+ and ][c with a 5.25SD floppy drive
will run the same programs. Are memory upgrades available for
the Apple ][c/+? The ][c came with an Imagewriter ][, are there
any software out there that utilizes this printer? Is there a
cable available for it so my wife can use the printer on her
386PC? Are there WIndows 3.1 drivers available, somewhere, for
it, if it can be used on the 386PC?

Thank's in advance. To save bandwidth, please email replies to
