Re: More OOTW (was Nice review by Thye Chean)
What I found interesting was GS+'s review of OOTW, which claims that the
game is unplayably slow in full screen mode on accelerated machines.
But a friend of mine says it works very nicely on his ZipGS 10MHz board,
and I assume it probably works well even on slightly slower boards.
He does say that there are some bugs, but as long as you follow the proper
course of the game, none of them seem to show up.
One bug that came up while I was chatting with him on the phone: if he
clicks the mouse at the startup screen (instead of hitting a key), the
game will crash shortly afterward.
Apparently there are some sound glitches as well. But he still says the
game is cool and that everyone should buy it (although he did suggest
waiting for bug fixes first...). That's pretty amazing, since he despises
any program that has bugs at all. :)
So I'll be ordering OOTW RSN -- I gotta replace some fried RAM first,
though.
