Even on a stock 2.8MHz GS, the 70mm (1/2 height, full width) mode is 
very playable.  Don't put off buying this game, even if you don't have
an accelerator.

It seems to me that Shanghai II just has different styles of tile
layouts.  Has anyone figured out the board layout (text file) to
MahJong?   That could make MahJong a serious competitor to Shanghai II.
