Desktop publ's-IIe; also STILL NEED HELP W/ IIe Enhanc. Kit!!

Does anyone know where I might find even a simple desktop publishing
program for the IIe?  I have a newsletter to put out this semester, and
I thought I would use my IIe to do it.  I would prefer something FREE or
Shareware, via ftp or otherwise.  When I say simple, I mean not
complicated; I have no need for a bunch of cutesy clip art.  Thanks.

BTW- I posted earlier about a IIe enhancement kit problem I am STILL
having.  I am unclear what was meant by several of you about placement
of the U.S. character generator chip in the PAL motherboards Video ROM
socket.  Which end is which on the socket?  I don't know where to find
pin 1 or pin 3 of the socket, and BTW, I have received messages
suggesting BOTH, although I hesitate to attempt either due to a lack of
a concensus.  If anyone from Apple, Inc. is reading: How do I go about
swapping this U.S. character generator ROM chip for a German one which
actually fits my machine?  Should I return this particular enhancement
kit and order a German version from Germany? I hope not. Can my local
dealer do this for me?  He has said that it ISN'T possible, but he has
almost never been right about anything I have ever asked him...  I have
no way of burning my own new chip, which was also suggested.

I need to figure out just what I can do 'officially' about this, ASAP,
so that I can return this kit if I must.  Does Apple Germany even sell
enhancement kits for the IIe over there?  Any Germans or Europeans know
???

I hate to keep ranting about this, but it really is driving me nuts.
