Well, I do know ColorTerm doesn't work on ROM 3. The author doesn't know why -
it's not ROM dependant.

Many of the tools are the same as in System 5, so those are still in ROM.

The speed of the 65816 is 2.8 MHz. Because of RAM refresh cycles, the effective
speed is reduced to 2.5 MHz, but ROM has none of that, so it runs at the full
2.8 MHz.

ROM1s have those CDAs, and I don't see why they're not available on boot. I
mean, they're there, so why lock them out of the menu?

>Or do CDAs in ROM get transfered into RAM to run?

I doubt that they do, though it's possible. If I was writing a ROM CDA I'd make
the extra effort so that it can run in ROM..
