Okay, then I will tell you of a specific ADB keyboard that WILL NOT work with
the Apple IIgs.
I purchased a keyboard called the SwitchBoard, a VERY nice keyboard which was
designed to be the ultimate keyboard for Mac OR PC. Portions of the keyboard
could be swapped around (keypad on the left side anyone?) and the control key
and caps lock key could be exchanged. All in all it was exactly what I wanted
and felt pretty good to the typing hand too.
It didn't work on the GS. It worked fine on the Mac. Attached to my GS, I
daisy chained it off of my existing keyboard and added the mouse to the end of
the chain. The original GS keyboard and the mouse worked. The Swithboard
didn't. I then changed the order and put the switchboard first, the GS
keyboard 2nd and the mouse at the end of the chain. In THIS configuration
NEITHER keyboard worked, but the mouse did.
The summary of this is, there are SOME ADB devices for the Mac that just don't
work on the GS.
