I don't know for certain, but I'd be willing to bet that in part it's because you are not (so I'm told) dealing with ONE machine, but a network of them.

on the other hand, if you can telenet, there is no "prime time" rate for Delphi if you telenet in during the day (In fact, according to management, that's what they PREFER).  Of course, this does mean you'll need a Delphi account (as low as $1/hr)
