Pascal 1.3, SyQuest & SCSI cards

Can anyone offer any help to a friend of mine. He has a //e with a High-Speed
SCSI card, 44Mb SyQyest drive and wants to use Apple Pascal 1.3.

He _has_ had it working fine under ProDOS and under Pascal using a Rev. C SCSI
card. However, with the High-Speed card, Pascal has great trouble recognising
the partitions. He tells me that by forcing the Pascal Filer to poll all
drives, he can get it to recognise the partitions, get directory listings,
etc., but he can't then leave the Filer and eXecute programs from the SyQuest
drive (I think that was the problem - anyway recognising the drive outside of
the Filer).

Just in case, I have suggested playing with termination given the difference
between the two SCSI cards, but I'm not too optimistic.

As I am reporting this on behalf of a friend, from memory of a phone call,
please forgive any silly errors above. It's years since I used Pascal (I was
probably trying to do something with Wizardry disks at the time!), and I have
never used Pascal 1.3.

Any ideas? Has anyone used the above setup but with a fixed disk?
