pointless pointers?

Hiya,
	I just got pointless (finally!) the other day and yesterday, finally
broke down and printed something from Appleworks GS, and was devastated by the
quality (etc etc) and now have this great urge to find lots of TrueType fonts. 
Any pointers and tips on converting Mac/IBM ones to my GS?  (Please don't tell
me it's in the faq, please, pretty please?)
	Anyway, in one of my tests, using courier, part of one letter
"infringed" on another letter (separated by a space), using a 12 point size. 
Is that a bug with pointless (courier was supplied by them) or was that another
of AppleWorks GS bugs?  Also, is there any way to make the default font _not_
Geneva?
