Yep, the logic is sound, but sometimes you just have to write custom code
to squeeze every cycle out of the poor ol' 65816 (a 40MHz 68040 it ain't!).
This is (I think) the reason the FTA games are so smooth and way cool!
Although I think that anyone who writes their own Std. File Routines instead
of using the SFI toolset has been spending too much time reading the MSDOS
manual! :)
