Here's another interesting thing I have found about VIAD.  Recently my GS
battery went dead.  (It was the original battery, and my GS is a Woz.  Goes to
show that some of the batteries lived up to their expectations.)  Anyway,
I replaced the battery with the slide on, but I forgot to set the clock.

Then when I ran VIAD, it would hang or crash.  I couldn't figure out why,
so I went on to other things for the moment, then I noticed my clock was off,
so I reset it.  It was set to something like 1902 for the year.  Well, then
I thought that maybe VIAD was barfing on the bad clock setting, and well I 
must have been right, because it works fine now that the clock was reset.

Anyone know why VIAD looks at the clock?
