  As far as I understand it, a Genie subscriber cannot receive Internet
mail until the setup fee is paid. I suppose that this means that mail to
a Genie subscriber who has not paid the fee will bounce.
 
  I can't be a whole lot more definite about this though, because of
another little limitation to the Genie/Internet gateway. I've been
trying to find the gateway from my Genie account, and it turns out that
the Internet gateway is only available to US Genie subscribers. It would
be nice if Genie admin types at least mentioned this somewhere where
non-us subscribers would be expected to be looking for it :(
