I agree -- one of the most annoying visual problems in the System Software
is that when the print dialog disappears, the system doesn't bother to
update the screen before starting to print, so the entire time you're
printing, you're staring at this big white space in the middle of the
screen.  Very stupid looking.  Makes me think I'm using a ** shudder **
