You'll need a null modem for your cable. The Imagewriter doesn't use a
straight serial link.
Also, refer to your DOS manual about the MODE command. You'll need to set
up MODE to reroute the LPT1 port (or whatever port you want it to go
through) to COM1 (or whatever serial port you're using). That's only 1/4
the battle. The big part is finding drivers for the various programs you
plan on running. The only program I've found so far that fully supports
the Imagewriter II is WordPerfect 5.1.
