JM>What is AVATAR?

Avatar, on the PC side of the world, is a terminal display
system, much like ANSI, as used on a communications program. The
advantage of Avatar is that instead of sending every character
of, say, a bright cyan block of display (such as ANSI does),
Avatar will send the starting block and tell the receiving
terminal how many to make. This gives Avatar a slight
performance advantage over ANSI--or even ProTERM Special.
