I use Isopropl Alcohol. It will remove certain things that are ink
like. It evaporates fast. For the socket chips, whose legs have turned
black with oxidation I take the chips out (one at a time) and soak
them in Tran -X. It only takes a about 20 seconds. Then remove them
and and give them an alcohol soak. Leggs should be like new in most
cases.
